The Newton Clinic P.C. is a Multi-Specialty
clinic consisting of 17 providers, serving the citizens of Jasper County, Iowa in the city of
Newton . The Newton Clinic is owned by the member physicians and employs approximately 60 full-time
employees. The Newton Clinic is a large 17,000 square foot facility that includes a full service laboratory, full
service X-ray department, obstetric ultrasound unit, fetal non-stress testing unit, video flexible sigmoidoscope unit,
treadmill, and 3 surgical procedure rooms for surgical procedures and casting. The Physicians of the Newton Clinic primarily
admit patients to Skiff Medical Center in Newton Iowa, however some physicians have guest privileges at other hospitals
in central Iowa. The Newton Clinic has a 24 hour physician on call service for our patients. To schedule

Family Practice- The Newton Clinic has 14 practitioners
that serve in the field of family practice. These practitioners serve the medical needs of their patients and can refer individuals
on to specialists if necessary.
Obstetrics- The Newton Clinic has 5 practitioners
that serve in the field of Obstetrics. These practitioners follow their patients from their initial pregnancy through their
delivery at Skiff Hospital.
O.B./G.Y.N.- Dr. Nieves serves as the O.B./G.Y.N.
specialist. Dr. Nieves provides obstetrical services including, Cesearean Sections, infertility care, hysterectomies, and
other G.Y.N. services.
Internal Medicine- Dr. Chan serves as the Internal
Medicine Specialist for the Newton Clinic. Dr. Chan provides the following internal medicine services to Newton Clinic and
Skiff Hospital; diabetes management, infectious disease management, heart disease management, internal medicine consults,
etc.
Podiatry- Dr. Janice Gates serves as the Podiatrist
specialist for the Newton Clinic. Dr. Gates provides services for individuals suffering from foot problems including
thick painful toenails, athlete's foot, corns, calluses, infected nails, warts, hammer toes, bunions, and diabetic foot care.
